MCP Integration
Connect AI tools and assistants directly to the WHV Platform via the Model Context Protocol. Search jobs, verify compliance, discover pods, and more -- all through a standardised AI interface.
What is MCP?
An open standard that bridges AI assistants with real-world tools and data.
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants interact with external tools and data sources. Instead of copying and pasting data, your AI tools can query information directly.
The WHV Platform exposes an MCP server that gives AI tools direct access to job listings, employer data, compliance information, pod discovery, accommodation search, and route planning across Australia.
Available Tools
Six powerful tools that give AI assistants full access to the WHV Platform ecosystem.
search_jobsSearch and filter job listings by location, industry, salary, visa type. Returns structured data ready for AI processing.
get_employerRetrieve employer profiles, ratings, and workplace details. Access verified reviews and company information.
check_complianceVerify visa compliance status and work hour limits. Get real-time checks on regulatory requirements and restrictions.
find_podsDiscover available pods and matching groups. Find compatible travel companions based on preferences and destination.
get_accommodationSearch accommodation listings near workplaces. Filter by price, type, distance, and amenities across Australia.
plan_routeGenerate travel routes between Australian destinations. Get optimised itineraries with cost estimates and timing.
Setup Guide
Three steps to connect your AI tools to the WHV Platform.
Connect to our MCP server
Add the WHV Platform MCP server to your AI tool's configuration. This works with any MCP-compatible client.

"whv-platform": {
"url": "https://mcp.whvplatform.com/sse",

On first connection, you will be guided through an OAuth flow to authorise API access. Your AI tool will receive a scoped token that grants access to the tools above.
// Your AI client handles this automatically.
// On first tool call, the server triggers:
1. Browser opens → WHV Platform login
2. Authorise the MCP client
3. Token issued → stored locally
4. All subsequent calls are authenticatedStart using tools
Once connected, your AI assistant can call any of the available tools. Here is an example of searching for farm jobs in Queensland.
// Ask your AI assistant:
"Find me farm jobs in Queensland that pay
over $28/hour and accept 417 visas."
// The assistant calls search_jobs with:
{
"location": "Queensland",
"industry": "agriculture",
"minSalary": 28,
"visaType": "417"
}
// Returns structured job listings with
// employer details, compliance info, etc.Use Cases
